Kester Hew Crawford norfolk artist printmaker

I’m Kester Hew Crawford, a landscape painter living in rural Norfolk.

I became captivated by art during the history of art lectures I attended whilst studying architectural design at university. Through my artworks I aim to capture the delight and tranquillity that rural and coastal environments bring me in the hopes it may enlighten those who do not feel it yet or move those who already do.

In my paintings, I try to communicate the aspects of the ever-changing landscapes that I value most. I approach the art making process from a designer’s standpoint and working in oil paints, I continually experiment with different approaches and techniques for using this medium to enable me to represent the landscapes and seascapes I know and cherish in new and inspiring ways.

I am currently represented by The Point Contemporary gallery in Cromer, Norfolk.
